If I use RunAs to run it as an administrative user account, it works fine. Quickbooks 2018 Windows 7 And 10Ive used RegShot and Procmon to look at exactly what the install is doing, and I cant find any notable difference between Windows 7 and 10 or between SYSTEM and admin user installs. Im just about at the end of my rope here, has anyone ever tried deploying QuickBooks on Windows 10 and succeeded Alternatively, is there some way I can use the SYSTEM users administrative power to run a program in the context of a user on the computer, but with administrative permissions Using RunAs isnt a good long-term solution for us. It works fine on Windows 7, and the exact same command line works fine when run as an admin user. Its only when run as SYSTEM on Windows 10 that it gives an error. I guess I could try extracting the MSI and using a transform but I honestly doubt it will make a difference since setup.exe is just a wrapper around the MSI.
